a sparkling red wine sangria inspired by P2 (2007)

P2 is the 2007 Christmas thriller that takes place almost entirely in a parking garage on Christmas Eve. Angela, played by Rachel Nichols, is kidnapped by the disturbed parking attendant, Thomas (Wes Bentley) in her office building who does so because he doesn’t want to be alone on Christmas. Angela is forced to lie to her family to appease Thomas before he uses the night to harasses and torture her while she tries to escape.

I mean, you can’t get any better than a christmas horror film that opens with Eartha Kitt’s iconic “Santa Baby”! P2 is anxiety inducing, gruesome, and suspenseful while being perfectly injected with the mania brought on from essentially being forced into Christmas spirit every year.

Thomas; the very obvious villain and drama, continually accuses everyone else of “ruining Christmas” depite all HIS actions being the negativity. That and the fact that he tries to make up for drugging and kidnapping Angela with a microwaved meal and some cheap red wine, inspired this christmas spiced sangria. Sparkling because bubbles always add that extra kick to any beverage. This drink is featured on our preview session for when we featured on Slash Her Podcast’s episode for this film! ~ used “Cold Duck” because it kind of alluded to the fact that Angela was a “sitting duck” without realizing it. plus, she had to be cold being in NYC on Christmas AND doused with water several times
